Teresa Heinz Kerry will be speaking about education policy tonight here in Santa Barbara, and I'll be helping set-up the event. I'm pretty sure I'll get at least a minute or two of face time with her, and I'm wondering what folks think I should tell her about bringing Dean supporters into the fold.
I feel as though a substantial group of Dean supporters would be willing to put in comparable amounts of time and energy into Kerry's campaign IF AND ONLY IF he does certain things to show that he's interested in building and investing in the grassroots community that we've created.
What does he have to do to demonstrate this? What should I tell Teresa tonight? How can I communicate to her that many of us are willing to campaign for Kerry, if only he makes a decent 'offer'?
